TO START DRIVING

Before you can start your Driving Lessons with

Gold Medal Driving School you need to have a driving licence.

The following information will help you to apply for your Driving Licence.

In the UK the age that you can legally begin to drive is 17 years old. This means that from the age of 17 you can legally learn to drive and even take a driving theory and practical test.

You are able to obtain your provisional driving licence ready for your 17th Birthday and you can do that in one of two ways.

2)- Apply for your Licence By Post

You can apply for your provisional driving licence by completing the D1 application form that is available from the DVLA form ordering service or Post Office branches.

You will also need to enclose original documentation confirming your identity, a passport style colour photograph and the fee of £50.00. *

Send your completed application and payment to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AD.

You may be able to use the premium checking service provided by the Post Office. There is a fee for this service but it makes sure all the documents you are sending are correct. This will speed up the return of your licence.
